The Karate-do Promotion Test is not just testing your memory, skills, or technique, it is more about your understanding of a particular concept and your participation. We want you to see what you are capable of during one particular period of time. It might be a subject that lights up your potential, or it might not. Hopefully, above all else, it’s taught you that you can learn anything and do anything when you put in the effort. Congratulations to all of you!

Starting from now, we are going to have a special training session in Vancouver dojo for the candidates who will attend the Canada Open Tournament in December 2022.

2022 Halloween Party at Dojo. We are so glad the 28th Kitsilano Scout Group and the 40th Marpole Scout Group has joined us for fun. Trick or treat with Paddle Kumite, Ping Pong games and Team balance race. Of course, lots of candies and chips.

Dear parents and fellow karatedo-ka,
 
On behalf of Sekishinkan Karate, as well World Shoseikan Karate and our instructor team, we welcome you to a new Karate year.  It continues to be a sincere pleasure and honor to serve another year as your Chief Instructor.
 
We are definitely excited for the new year ahead!  With the start of the new Karate year in September, we will return to pre-pandemic operations, with a continued focus on hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, staying home when sick, and optional wearing of masks. Yes, mask is no longer a mandatory in our dojo training, we will leave it as an option to the student. We still recommended to wear it as a protection for everyone.  However, if you or your child is sick or has any symptoms, please do not come to the classes.
 
We strive to maintain a safe and caring environment that allows our members to feel like they are a viable and important member of our club. This goal requires all of us to work together as a team to make that environment a reality.
 
This year, our goal is to remain the motivation and improving morale in our dojo.  In addition, to encourage more commitment in the tournaments.  We all suffered the damage by the pandemic in the last few years, it is time to stand up again and move forward. Let’s cheer up and been together for this change.

Thank you, all parents, friends, and fellow Karatedo-ka, for coming and celebrating our 2022 AGM with us on Friday, July 15, 2022. We just want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting us this year. It has certainly had its ups and downs, and we appreciate your patience and trust.

Karate-do is a lifetime activity. Please make sure you take advantage of every learning opportunity that is placed in your path. Take time to reflect and always move forward. Your learning is about you, and no one else. We hope to see you again next year, and continuously succeed in your Karate career. ​
