Dear parents, friends, and fellow Karatedo-ka,

Thank you, all parents, friends, and fellow Karatedo-ka, for coming and celebrating our 2022 AGM with us on Friday, July 15, 2022. We just want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting us this year. It has certainly had its ups and downs, and we appreciate your patience and trust.

Karate-do is a lifetime activity. Please make sure you take advantage of every learning opportunity that is placed in your path. Take time to reflect and always move forward. Your learning is about you, and no one else. We hope to see you again next year, and continuously succeed in your Karate career. ​

​Dear Parents and fellow Karatedo-ka,
 
As you should know, BC has launched a new order from the provincial health officer will require individuals to provide proof of vaccination to access a broad range of social, recreational, and discretionary events and businesses throughout the province. As of Sept. 13, one dose of vaccine will be required for entry to these settings. By Oct. 24, entry to these settings will require people to be fully vaccinated at least seven days after receiving both doses. To enter both our Dojo (Vancouver and Richmond Oval), people aged 12 and older will be required to show their proof of vaccination. At this stage, we are not sure how exactly it works, but we will learn from it.
 
VANCOUVER DOJO

• Please try to park your car on West 70th or West 69th and then walk to the dojo. The parking spaces behind the building are reserved for our instructors only.
• Parents and Spectators are not recommended to stay and watch. Only if you have a young kid who recently joined our kid class, we will allow you to stay and watch for the first time.  The vaccination and mask requirement are the same as everyone. Thank you for your understanding.​
• Please download the Daily Health Assessment form and prepare the mouth mask before coming to the class. If you (or your children) are sick or has covid-19 symptoms, please do not come to the class.

 
RICHMOND OVAL DOJO

• The entry / exit arrangement will be the same as last year.  All students are required to meet at the “waiting area” at the parking lot entry.  When everyone arrived, the Oval’s stuff (or our instructor) will lead everyone to the room.
• Please pickup your kids at the “dismiss area” on time. 
• Late students may not able to join the class, so please make sure you arrived early.
• Parents and Spectators are not allowed to stay in the room with us.
• If we got any updates from Richmond Oval, we will let you know again.
• Please download the Daily Health Assessment form and prepare the mouth mask before coming to the class. If you (or your children) are sick or has covid-19 symptoms, please do not come to the class.

Classes Arrangement in September 2020

Dear parents and fellow Karatedo-ka, 

First of all, I would like to thank you for your supports and even under the circumstances of this pandemic, our last year term has accomplished and the online AGM was very success.

After the discussion with instructors and receiving some feedback from parents, we are still not sure when to restart the dojo training.  As an alternative plan, we will continue our training online by using the Zoom app until we have a better picture of the pandemic. The online classes schedule starting on September 2nd will be as following:

              Kid Class (ages 4-7): Thursday, 6:15pm to 7:00pm
                                              Saturday, 10:00pm to 10:45pm

         Regular Class (ages 8 and up): Wednesday, 7:15pm to 8:00pm
                                                       Friday, 7:15pm to 8:00pm

We will have a special promotion test arrangement for kid class members. Details will be forwarded to the parents soon.  We also have plan for the regular class members and that will probably a small group promotion test at the main dojo. Please stay tune and we will announce it when we confirmed. Please note, the zoom classes attendance will count as a requirement for the next promotion test.

Again, I want to welcome all of you back to our training and thank you for being a part of Shoseikan Karate.  We are truly on the path to greatness and Karate-do.
